A DJ is only as good and reliable as the
equipment he uses. Being an idependent DJ and sole proprietor, I
simply can't afford to use anything but the best, most reliable, industry-proven,
professional DJ and sound equipment. This includes Pioneer CDJ
700s and CDJ 100 digital CD players, Pioneer professional
DJ mixers, Electro Voice (EV) SX300 loudspeakers, Klipsch
subwoofer cabinets, Crest and Crown power amplifiers, Whirlwind
cables and cords, and Ultimate stands. All my equipment
is professionally rack-mounted in protective travel cases and is meticulously
maintained and professionally serviced on a regular basis.
I also carry backup equipment with me to every
event enabling me to cover almost any kind of equipment malfunction or failure.
I have numerous other independent DJs in the area who are only a phone call
away and able to deliver music, fresh equipment, or manpower in the event of
an emergency.
I use only Compact Discs (CDs) when I DJ for top-quality
sound. Special songs only available on cassette tape can be accomodated.
